According to Yahoo news it is found that yellow skin patches around the eyelids indicate a raised risk of heart attack, a new study has found.

The patches, known as xanthelasmata, are also an indicator of heart disease.

However, the study found that white or grey rings around the cornea, or arcus corneae, are not linked to an increased risk of heart attack.

Previous research had found that both xanthelasmata and arcus corneae are deposits of cholesterol, but half of those with either or both features will not test positively for high cholesterol.

The researchers surveyed 12,745 individuals aged between 20 and 93 and free of heart disease when the study began, who were followed over 33 years.

They found that in all age groups for both men and women, the risk of having a heart attack, developing heart disease or dying within a ten year period increased in individuals with xanthelasmata. This risk was independent of other risk factors such as gender, smoking, obesity or high blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

The highest risks were found in men between the ages of 70 and 79. Those with xanthelasmata had a 53 per cent increased risk compared to the 41 per cent risk for men without the condition - an absolute increase of 12 per cent. The corresponding figures for women were 35 per cent and 27 per cent.

The researchers, led by Professor Anne Tybjærg-Hansen at the University of Copenhagen, conclude that the presence of xanthelasmata could help clinicians when they diagnose heart disease and associated conditions.

The findings "could be of particular value in societies where access to laboratory facilities and thus lipid profile measurement is difficult," they wrote.

The study is published today on bmj.com.

So it is advised you carry out test every month and stay out of stress,fats,smokes and etc. that can cause high blood pressure which leads to heart attack.

Why guys are big babies and hate the word COMMITMENT

I often wonder why guys act like babies,is it because they feel they are stronger than the women or because God made a woman out of the ribs of a guy. Not withstanding why will a guy feel too import and yet complain when a gurl doesn't show appreciation.
I once met a guy through a friend,we started talking and became friend, he made complains of things my friend did to him and I was shocked and at the same time not surprise because I knew what my friend was capable of. Little did I know that all where part of his scheme to wow another victim to his side and play the innocent one. We got talking, then he claimed he liked me. He once told me that my friend wasn't caring and that she never asked him how his journey was or how his meetings went all she cared about was the money he promised her and stuffs.
As we became closed, he asked me out on a date, told me a lot of stuffs. I felt all he said about my friend was true. not until I got too carried away by his sweet tongues and thought I could trust in him. Then it happened that he travelled for the first time we were together. I asked how his journey was and how his meeting went but got no reply. The next thing he called to let me know that he was looking for money to carry out a contract, I felt bad that I had no money to help and promised to try and raise some money. which I tried and couldn't get any. After telling him, I realised he stopped calling, picking my calls or even replying my text messages.I actually thought that it was because of the fact that I couldn't raise money for him, he denied it, little did I know I was right,but I choose to forget it and let Go be the judge.
A few months later we spoke again and he said he wanted to see me so we could chat, which I went to see him, we spoke at length, he even told me to let my friend know we are dating. I did promise to let her know then thought about it,I felt it wouldn't be fair as I didn't bargain for that. Then the big mystery happened, I didn't hear from him again, so I made up my mind not to tell my friend. He called after a few days to say that he doesn't trust girl that stay out of the country because of the experience he had with a girl that came in for the holidays some years back. Right then I realised that he was a fool, an idiot.I thought guys don't act in such way. But this guy was just a big baby, who isn't ready for the word "COMMITMENT". He is a big time player, not ready to settle down.

In the Beginning

As I sat down thinking of the next step to take in my life, right there I realised that I am a year older,I also have the best boyfriend in the world,best family too.but deep within I know that something is missing in my life.then I realised that my baby was so far away from me,that I need a job and fast about it.
